FotD: Pink & Blue.

Hi, guys! No outfit today as I've been gardening over the weekend, so I've been wearing nothing but clothes I don't mind ruining.

Though today I did decide I wanted to wear some make-up even though I wasn't going anywhere. Its nice sometimes to just do these things for yourself sometimes imho. Plus I really need make-up practice as I am really no good at it!

I adore pink and blue, but generally this means pink lipstick and some dark blue eyeliner, so I thought why not switch it up?  Light blue lipstick and bright pink blush. :)

Eyes: Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner in Black Ink, Maybelline Falsie Flared Mascara.
Face: Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturiser in Alabaster, Bobbie Brown Blush in Peony.
Lips: Lime Crime Lipstick in Oh, No She Didn't!

Here's an indoor photo with  flash, which gives a better idea of the brightness of the peony blusher. usually I apply this very lightly, but I figured if I'm going to be having bright blue lips I may as well go all  out with the blush too!

This photo just made me laugh so I thought I'd include it! What am I looking at?

I have yet again not captured how awesomely crazy my hair looks today. Oh well.

Anyone else out there a pink & blue fan? :) xxx

OotD: The Name's Cool.... Joe Cool!

  {Tartan Sweater ~ ASOS (Size 18), Puffball Skirt ~ ASOS CURVE (Size 22), Joe Cool Leggings ~ ASOS (Size 18), Creepers ~ Underground UK {Size 9), Celtic Triskellion Necklace ~ Local art gallery}

I have neglected my blog quite badly of late due to my leg having to heal and the fact I am back and forth to Wales so often. We are borrowing our neighbour's internet connection, so its a bit spotty and loading photos seems to take an age, but I loved what I wore today too much to let it linger in on my computer unloved. :)

I am in love with these leggings! I love Snoopy and even I am not a huge 80s fashion fan, the print is really nice. Its retro, but not too out there, more fun and playful, just like my very own Snoopy by my feet. Yes, Snoopy is a beagle, though our Dylan is a mad little ginger compared to Snoopy's more relaxed nature and white fur.

I was going to send this puffball skirt back, but time got away from me and it never happened. I'm quite glad about that now as its really grown on me. Its a bit more interesting than my other knee length skirts and the idea of this with these leggings really inspired me to style it up with a few more things, so you may be seeing more of it soon! :)

I may also post a few make-up reviews/face of the days as I have been trying to up my make-up skills of late.

How are you guys? Ever have a big fashion change of heart? Xxx

P.S Anyone watch/read Game of Thrones? I've seen the first series and I've almost finished the first book and I am in love! I've never read a book so quickly, fave characters = Dany, Jon Snow, Tyrion and Arya, I am so cliche, but I don't care. :)

I'm Alive and Doing Well.

Being back and forth to Wales so much, I pretty much forgot about my blog.... Well, I felt guilty for not posting, felt like I had nothing to post, so didn't post anything and the more I didn't post the guiltier I felt, so I 'forgot' about my blog.

I haven't posted life stuff here in awhile, which is silly because a lot has happened to me really. I may change my blog name as it feels too exclusivly fashion orientated atm.

On the 27th of March I had an interview at The Manchester College for a BTEC (A-level equivalent/sixth form/college) in Jewellery Design. I was super nervous, but made a pretty cool portfolio and I think really impressed them. I thought it would be a week or two at least before I got a confirmation, then Rowena said I had a place! I am over the moon about this, seriously I nearly cried in front of her. Starting September I will be doing what I really love and having an awesome time learning, hopefully.

I don't think I've posted any of my jewellery here before, but some of it can be seen at my deviantart account here.

Before I went into my interview I promised myself if I got in I would get music lessons. I adore music, it was really important to my sanity as a teenager and still really touches me as an adult (ish person). So I wanted to get guitar lessons. I have tried getting piano lessons as a child and it was awful, all my teachers just yelled at me, so I quit. Now I am committed to learning the guitar. I have my brother's old beaten up Squire Strat, which is being mended atm, plus I have time and fire on my side. Hopefully this will be enough.

My broken ankle is doing pretty well I walked around the huge Tesco's in Stockport yesterday with no crutches, some pain, but mainly from my back which I hurt trying to do too much while cleaning my room.

I often tell people I am an optimist and they scoff because I so often seem like a pessimist, but I'd say things are looking up right now and that's all that matters. :) xxxx
